LAPEER — Loss prevention staff at the Walmart store on East Genesee Street told the Lapeer Police Dept. Wednesday that thieves made off with several cell phones from the store.

Drug bust near school

MAYFIELD TWP. — The Lapeer Police Dept. cited a 19-year-old man with drug possession on school property on West Oregon Road Wednesday.

Man surrenders on FOC warrant

LAPEER — A 41-yearold man turned himself in to the Lapeer Police Dept. on a Friend of the Court warrant. He was taken to court.

Woodshed burns

MAYFIELD TWP. — A Fish Lake Road resident told Lapeer Fire & Rescue Wednesday that their woodshed was on fire.

Lapeer woman says daughter, 4, was sexually assaulted

LAPEER — A woman told Lapeer Police Dept. Wednesday that her 4- year-old daughter was sexually assaulted.

Prisoner pick up

METAMORA TWP. — The Metamora Township Police Dept. met with the Oxford Police Dept. Wednesday on South Lapeer Road near West Davison Lake Road to pick up a 41-year-old woman sought on an unspecified warrant. She was taken to the Lapeer County Jail.

Woman, 53, arrested for drunken driving

ALMONT TWP. — The Almont Police Dept. cited a 53-year-old woman with drunken driving Wednesday following a traffic stop on Kidder Road near Hough Road. She was taken to the Lapeer County Jail and her vehicle was impounded.

No license leads to tickets for drivers

LAPEER —The Lapeer Police Dept. cited a 21- year-old man with driving while license suspended Tuesday following a traffic stop on West Genesee Street near Lake Drive.

• The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. cited an unidentified motorist with driving while license suspended following a traffic stop on Burnside Road near Falkenbury Road.

Drug arrest made after traffic stop

LAPEER TWP. — Michigan State Police cited an unidentified motorist with violating the Controlled Substance Act Tuesday following a traffic stop on I-69 near Morris Road.

ORV towed

ELBA TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. had an ORV towed from a Horseshoe Lane residence Tuesday after it reportedly eluded deputies at an attempted traffic stop on South Washburn Road near Cobb Road.

Camper attacked

OREGON TWP. — A camper at Holloway Reservoir Regional Park told the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. they were assaulted Tuesday by a group of men at the park. The Genesee County Parks and Recreation Police were notified.

Domestic assault charge alleged

ELBA TWP. — A woman told the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. Tuesday that her ex-husband grabbed her as she left his Lake Shore Drive home with her son.

Man detained

DRYDEN TWP. — A Rochester Road resident told the Dryden Township Police Dept. Tuesday that they found a man sitting on their picnic table “not acting right.” After the man drove off northbound in a Pontiac Vibe, police stopped him. The man was taken to McLaren Lapeer Region for observation and his vehicle was impounded.

iPod stolen

METAMORA TWP. — A South Lapeer Road resident told the Metamora Township Police Dept. Tuesday that thieves made off with an iPod.

Man hangs self

MAYFIELD TWP. — A family told the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. Tuesday that a 43-yearold man hung himself. — Phil Foley
