LAPEER TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. reported finding a tree across the North Wilder Road near Imlay City Road Wednesday. Lapeer County Road Commission officials were notified.

Alcohol arrest

IMLAY TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. cited a 53-year-old man with drunken driving Wednesday following a traffic stop on Graham Road near I-69. He was taken to the Lapeer County Jail and his vehicle was confiscated.

Man ticketed for not having license

ELBA TWP. — Michigan State Police cited a 35-year-old man with driving while license suspended Wednesday following a traffic stop on I-69 near Golf Road. Another driver picked up the man’s van.

Man arrested on warrant charge

MAYFIELD TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. took a 59- year-old man into custody Wednesday on a misdemeanor warrant following a traffic stop on North Lapeer Road near East Norway Lake Road. He was taken to the Lapeer County Jail to wait for Oakland County authorities to pick him up.

Suicidal men

ARCADIA TWP. — A man reportedly threatened to commit suicide Wednesday and then ran away on foot. The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. later caught up to him and took him to McLaren Lapeer Region’s emergency room for evaluation.

• Lapeer County EMS took an Arcadia Township man who had reportedly consumed pills to McLaren Lapeer Region’s emergency room Wednesday for treatment.

Drunken driver arrested Tuesday

OREGON TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. cited an unidentified motorist with drunken driving Tuesday following a property damage accident on Gray Road near Oregon Road.

Motorist arrested after traffic stop

ATTICA TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. took an unidentified motorist into custody Tuesday on an unspecified warrant following a traffic stop on Imlay City Road near North Lake George Road. They were released after posting a $250 bond.

Purse stolen from vehicle at house

OREGON TWP. — A Miles Road resident told the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. Tuesday that thieves broke out the passenger side rear window on their vehicle and stole a purse.

GOODLAND TWP. — A North Van Dyke Road man told Michigan State Police Tuesday that he was hooking up an Xbox when a woman punched him in the face.

COLUMBIAVILLE — A Lapeer Street resident told the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. Tuesday that a drunken man was knocking at their door.

IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City Police Dept. cited a 49-year-old man with domestic violence Monday following an incident on Schoolhouse Drive.

ALMONT TWP. — The Almont Police Dept. reported Monday that a resident committed suicide. The person was taken to McLaren Lapeer Region, where they were pronounced dead.

ELBA TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. cited a motorist with driving while license suspended Monday following a traffic stop on North Maple Leaf Road near Davison Road.

ALMONT — A North Main Street resident told the Almont Police Dept. Monday that thieves broke into their home and took an Xbox, safe and other items.
